I'm going to keep this post short - mostly b/c I can't focus on anything at all and if I could it would be on getting my marking and report cards done.
My allergies are killing me. I can't breathe, I can't think, I can't even watch television. I always knew I had bad allergies, but modern medicine kept them at bay.
The stupid saline rinse doesn't help at all.
I was fine until my 8:45am duty this morning and that ruined me for the day. How does one person go through so many kleenex in a day?
My mom is going out to Shoppers Drug Mart to get me nasal strips to help me sleep.
I know that Claritin is deemed "safe for pregnancy"...but I don't think it's worth the risk...My allergies are usually finished by July.
But, how in the world will I get through these last few weeks of school - teaching, marking, report cards, and packing up and moving my classroom?
And a really quick note - that I wanted to really spend time on, but I think I've reached my limit here - I told my principal yesterday. I told him at 8 weeks only b/c I'm nervous about moving and lifting heavy things when I've had bleeding.
He was super excited for me and confided some things in me. Told me not to lift a single thing. The kids will be put to work, as will available staff - and he will use my vertigo excuse to any staff as a reason why I need help.
In the meantime, I just want to breathe again - 3 1/2 more weeks of this is way too long (if it even ends in July)....I miss the outdoors...I miss lying in the sun and reading....I miss driving with my windows open.
I shouldn't complain...I'm so happy to be pregnant...I never wanted to feel this miserable!
Boo allergies! Thankfully you only have a few weeks left of school and July is right around the corner. And that's so great your principal was so supportive!
ReplyDeleteHang in there!!
Bummer...hopefully this rain helps a little...glad things went so well telling your principal...it's good that someone has your back regarding the lifting!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely of your principal!
ReplyDeleteAnd hope these three and a half weeks go by faster then ever!
ugh I have the same allergies and have been going through a record amount of Kleenex. Puffs Plus are the best invention EVAR.
