I've been doing my best to keep up with my blog reading, through my cell phone, but I just rarely turn on my computer and so blogging keeps taking a back seat - even though I have so much to update.
I thought I'd just drop a few photos to update on the past few weeks since my last blog.
Quick milestone - SR learned to jump - both feet off the ground and land back on her feet!
| I love this shot because it's after a bath and you can really see her curls! |
| She was obviously very amused by something! |
It was a super warm day and we were heading outside to play - SR comes running to me wearing a fleece winter hat (that is not her regular hat) and carrying her "purse" and said, "Mommy, I'm ready to go!" I was just laughing so hard - what a fashion statement!
Below are some fun shots my mom took - I rarely get photos of SR and I together and my mom didn't know what to get. I told her just to keep clicking and we would get something - here are some of my favourites.
| SR kissing her baby brother - I love how I'm just watching her! |
| What??? |
| SR kissing my bare belly - yes, I still have my naval ring in - I take it out on the day of the surgery and immediately put it back in. |
| I really like this picture of us - I think it's sweet that she's looking at my belly and I'm looking at the camera. |
Hugging her baby brother - I hope she is this affectionate when she actually realizes he's in our home!
Long weekend this weekend - spent today, Monday - at the petting zoo - Since I'll be out of commission most of the summer, I want to give SR some of the extras I won't get to do with her this summer. She loves feeding the animals lettuce.
Hi Mom, I'm going to be over by the chickens!
| Feeding the donkey his "salad for his lunch". |
| "Cheese!" She never looks at the camera and smiles when I asked - I love that she's inside the tire! |
| Driving the wagon. |
| A picture together! |
| Could she be girlie after all - she wanted to wear a dress and kept saying "watch me twirl!" |
So now that we are all caught up - I have a few weeks left to go with work and my pregnancy. I am swamped - the grade 3 testing starts a week tomorrow - I still have 3 math units to finish (as I am teaching them at the same time), and review to do with my students. Not to mention I really want to finish my report cards early just in case, but that would involve having time to get through my units. Plus, I have to pack up my classroom completely as I will be gone for an entire school year. And I come home to play with and take care of my wonderful toddler and clean up and do my nesting and organizing. And by the time evening rolls around, I can only sit on my couch and play Candy Crush Saga and then climb into bed to read (for pleasure, I always make time for that).
Love the candy crush saga comment! So funny how many people play it! You look great and cute prego pictures with SR! She is growing up so quick! Hope the end of school is quick for you. Boo for me having to go back for 6 days!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the last photo for SR hugging your belly! They turned out great!! Such beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe how close you are to meeting your son! Good to hear you're taking time for yourself too.
LOVE this update! You are gorgeous pregnant! Lucky duck - you're all cute and tall and willowy - I turn into such a waddling monstrosity! SR looks so beautiful (awesome curls!). I am so excited for you and that you get a whole year off. How it should be! Try to enjoy the next few weeks - it is so hard on your own with a toddler too.
ReplyDeleteLol, tall? At a whopping 4'11 3/4" I am hardly tall. The pictures are deceiving. Or my toddler is very short :)
DeleteYay for jumping! Butterfly LOVES to jump :-)
ReplyDeleteLoved the pictures, especially the ones your mother took of you and her together..
Wonderful pictures! I kept scrolling and choosing my favorite one! I love that you have so many of the two of you--they are terrific photos. As for finishing up the year, I can't believe you actually had the time to type two words much less this whole post. You have more energy than you think! (or maybe I'm just getting old!) Hope you have a smooth transition through the end of the year. YAY! A whole year off to enjoy with your (bigger) family!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! You look so happy - good luck with the last few weeks at work too, and great that you get to take the whole year.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of the two of you together! I can't believe how big SR is getting!!
