First of all, this picture - doesn't it look like it could be in a magazine (I did enter it into a contest). I couldn't have posed them better myself!
J-Bear is able to crawl around outside in my parents' backyard - if I would ever move out of their house I have my own backyard now. I just need to keep SR from accidentally kicking him or pushing him over (maybe not all accidental).
After posting to a Facebook mommy group I belong to asking about side effects of iron supplements, I found out other children have thrown up when starting. I drastically reduced his dose from 2mL 3times per day to .5mL 3 times per day - I also added orange juice into the syringe. So far, other than having to hold him steady to get it into his mouth, there is no other problem. He hasn't thrown up since Friday. I will try to increase the dosage gradually.
My plan is to go to the pediatrician tomorrow morning - I left my voice mail Friday afternoon so hopefully I get an early appointment tomorrow. I not only want to discuss how low his iron is, but also to talk about his asthma. I don't know much about asthma. The last time he was wheezing, the pediatrician called it a "happy wheeze" meaning J wasn't in any distress. And when I took him in last Wednesday, the pediatrician said that he was wheezing just a little bit and to keep him on puffers for only a week. But I really hear the wheeze, and I can feel it through his back. And I don't think the puffers are helping him (especially because he turns his head when he is supposed to be breathing in for 5 breaths per puff). So I want to have him checked out.
I'll post a few quick pictures. Sorry if you are on my facebook and have seen them already. Tomorrow my J-Bear turns 11 months....I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. I'll try to post a letter to him tomorrow. I need sleep.
I love how natural this picture is. My big girl, SR.
J-Bear and SR enjoy each other so much (when J isn't touching SR's things). Here they were playing catch.
Right before J-Bear threw up everywhere on Friday, I think he was scouting out a good spot!!!
I can't believe they are both looking at the camera at the same time.
My happy boy!
Great photos! Hope you get some answers at the ped today
