Change of Time of Transfer

I looked at my phone this morning, only to see that I missed a call from my clinic. My heart literally skipped a beat. I immediately thought the worst - that my transfer was going to be cancelled. I used to think of myself as quite the optimist, and I still do for the most part, but in this TTC journey I've hit several roadblocks.

The clinic was calling to tell me that they moved my appointment for my FET up one hour. My transfer will now be on Thursday, April 29th at 9:30. I need to be there at 9:00 with a full bladder.

Now my worry is getting stuck in rush hour traffic with a full bladder. On the weekend, it takes me 30 minutes to get to the clinic with little traffic. So, I'm trying to figure out how much earlier to leave. I'm thinking an hour and a quarter before my appointment. And I'll start drinking at 8:45...I'm worried I won't be full enough if they take me early, or too full if they take me too late...it's all about the full bladder that freaks me out.

In the meantime, I have one more day to get through and then it's transfer day...after that, it's my 2ww with hopefully positive results.

Any suggestions for the full bladder? I have a tiny bladder. I never drink anything in an average day and I pee all day long (every hour on the hour). For my full bladder u/s I drink one water bottle 30-45 minutes before my scheduled time and I'm bursting and peeing for the next several hours. Needless to say, I won't be leaving the clinic after my appointment until I'm all peed out.

One would think the stress would come from the transfer, not the bladder :)

  1. Oh, that Toronto traffic!! I wish I had some great advice on the full bladder...all I got is cross you legs? Until the transfer that is ;)

  2. Can you maybe drive to the clinic earlier and drink your water over there and then just hang around? (or walk around the town or wherever it is)
