Today has been pretty uncomfortable...Why is it that I am always worried about something? So much for breezing through my pregnancy! I have felt mild cramping and discomfort all day. At first I thought it was still remnants from the u/s "bruising" but it's completely different. I was reassured tonight by a friend that it's just my uterus stretching...but everything I've read on the internet says the pains will be short and sharp (which I've experienced in the first trimester when I would get out of bed in the mornings). But this has been a mild discomfort all day. There is no bleeding or fever or chills or anything the internet suggests would lead to a miscarriage...just this dull ache in my abdomen....so is this normal? I have to say, that I am very petite and yesterday and today I've noticed my belly protruding more than it has so far, so I'm really hopeful that it's just the stretching of my uterus. Ugh, I hate this worrying.
As for my mom...we reconciled this morning and spent much of the day together...that's me and my mom for you :)
I was crampy a lot and it freaked me out too. It felt sort of like my period was going to start any minute and I was constantly expecting to see blood. I hope it goes away soon so that you can stop worrying.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you and your mom made up.
Make sure you're drinking enough water. A few friends of mine had similar "cramps" but no bleeding and their docs had said they weren't drinking enough. Just a thought...

Staying hydrated is very good advice...I know it's hard, you've mentioned before but with this heat you need it. try to stay calm & relaxed...
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you & your mom made up, gotta love our mother/daughter relationships!
I would definitely follow the advice of staying hydrated, try to stay off your feet and away from drama and high emotions right now (good thing you made up with your mom!) and I would call your doctor just to let them know what is going on. I called mine all the time just for that reassurance it was always nothing, but it felt better hearing it from the one person I trusted most with my pregnancy! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the advice. I'm not much of a "drinker" b/c of my very small bladder. never have been...but I've been forcing myself to drink more.
ReplyDeleteAlso, my friend used her portable doppler on me last night and there was definitely a heartbeat, so I'm okay!!!
Just checking in...Hope you are enjoying your summer & relaxing & hope you haven't had any other scares.
ReplyDeleteWhere are you??? I hope everything is going well...
ReplyDeleteChecking in to see how you are doing.... thinking of you!
