I don't know what's going on with me and why I haven't posted since my u/s several weeks ago. I guess I got caught up in back to school preparation.
So, I'm completely out to my staff at work now. I hid myself on the first day of school - I didn't want the parents knowing right away and wanting their children in a different class that would have the same teacher all year - knowing that things come up in a school year often. It was just 2 years ago that I had to take a lot of time off for my vertigo. It's amazing that at 22 weeks and 1 day I can still hide myself. At the same time, as soon as I put on anything snug, it looks like I have a round beach ball inside my shirt. It really is very cute.
Not only do I feel movement on a regular basis, but today I started to see the movement through my skin...I had just finished lunch and washed it down with 2 bowls of chocolate frozen yogurt and I sat down on my couch....and I felt tons of movement - must have been the sugar rush. So I lifted up my shirt, and I could distinctly see my skin moving where the movement was. So much fun!
My latest "symptom" is dry eyes...dry all over, if you must know...but the dry eyes are really noticeable. I asked my GP today about it - as I know it's a pregnancy symptom - and he told me I'm best not to do anything and to just ignore it. I'll do my best.
This week I'm going to look at my school library for the book "my teacher's having a baby". Another teacher at work used it. These students have just met me, so they won't be as enthusiastic as my former students are (the ones I tutor have just found out and are thrilled). But b/c I've told my former students, and they go to school up the street at the grade 5 to 8 school, word will spread down to my school quickly, so I need to share soon.
That's my update...nice to read up on all of you out there too!
22 weeks - congratulations!! Wow--time is just flying by...
ReplyDeleteGood Luck on the start of a new school year. Soon your new students are going to be just as excited about your little one as your former students!
Glad to hear everything is going so great...it must be so cool to be feeling & seeing baby move!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that things are still going well. I can't imagine telling my students - they are in high school but I have time.
ReplyDeleteIt will be fun to tell them. And I'm sure they will all be very enthusiastic.
