I woke up this morning from a bad dream involving a lot of gushing blood at my fertility clinic. I woke up with a start and took my temperature (as I do every morning). It's funny that I take my temperature - I never ovulate and my temperature is all over the place and doesn't follow the typical ovulation patterns, but I also record my clinic days and check with my old charting from before I had Scarlett.
My temperature was up - for the second day in a row! Could I be ovulating? But how odd, b/c on Wednesday my RE told me that there was NOTHING happening in my ovaries or uterus.
I accidentally woke Scarlett up early - I bumped my bottle of iron in the fridge and it made a bang; just outside of her bedroom. So at 6:30 a.m. I decided Scarlett was going to learn how to walk today. It didn't take long. I stood her up at her walker, that she has only played with up until now, and said "walk, walk" and slow and steady, she got her footing and walked...and walked....and walked....all the way until breakfast at 8:15 a.m. She went down for a nap right after breakfast...I guess it makes sense b/c she's been sick and she woke up early, and she had quite a workout this morning using leg muscles she doesn't normally use.
I had a 10:20 appointment at the clinic. GRRRRR....I was there for 2 hours. I only started to get irritated when I noticed all of the women who came in after me were getting called for their u/s and I was still waiting. The receptionist had made a mistake - she didn't admit it, but I knew she felt terrible - she put me to the head of the line and then kept coming over to whisper to me I was next for u/s and then next to see the RE. Also when I went to book my next appt, she was so thankful to be for being so patient and understanding.
Meanwhile, my u/s showed that I had a SURGE??? And that I OVULATED??? But my RE doesn't understand b/c there were no follicles ready for ovulation. Now I have to go in again tomorrow - at least it's to the clinic near my house/school - but it still means waking Scarlett up early and taking her to daycare early, and she's been sick with her 5th double ear infection in 4 months!
I guess I'll wait to see tomorrow if I actually ovulated - but if my temperature said I did, and the u/s said I did....hmmmm.
What a cute video! Good job, Scarlett! Are you still waiting on the appointment with the ENT to discuss tubes? 5th infections in 4 months is a huge drag, poor Scarlett.
ReplyDeleteENT is scheduled for June 7th. But that's just the consultation. And she won't be in daycare all summer, so we might be put on hold over the summer.
DeleteWay to go Scarlett!! She is growing so quickly! That is strange about the ovulation, but then again, I have always heard that having one baby changes tends to change a woman's fertility?
ReplyDeleteYay Scarlett!!
ReplyDeleteYeah Scarlett!!! Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteHow frustrating about the clinic!
Congratulations, Scarlett--this is an exciting time for you! Best wishes!
