It's been a hard week. I am truly on my own while my parents are in Israel visiting my brother. The first week was great. We went out 3 nights and I was able to manage on my own with getting SR to school, grocery shopping, playdates, and programs for J-Bear.
But this week has been overwhelming. SR got sick and was home for two days. The skin around my eyes feels like a terrible sunburn and I've been dealing with that. Now J-Bear has what SR had (fever and throat irritated).
Not to mention I have a whole bunch of other things on my mind/plate right now.
What happened to my leisurely maternity leave???
But then tonight, SR (she will be 3 in exactly one month) said the most beautiful thing.
SR: Mommy, since we don't have a daddy, I will be the daddy and be your helper.
Where does she come up with these things??? This was unprompted!
