So many new things
It's been a terribly exciting day for me :) Scarlett is finally pulling herself to standing. Now that she's learned it's all she wants to do. Here she is after waking up from her morning nap. Don't even ask me about the pm nap. There wasn't one because Scarlett only wanted to stand up!
The words have been coming, fast and furious. When she was holding her blue ring and told me it was "buuu" and then told me her yellow ring was "yeeee" I thought it was just a coincidence. Until I held up her blocks in a different room and she was able to tell me the blue and yellow blocks. Is it possible that my 14 month old (in 2 days) already knows some colours?
I was quite surprised to watch Scarlett crawl over to her piano and pull herself to stand up at it. She usually isn't interested in it at all, even if I sit behind her to hold her in place. Today it occupied her attention for quite some time.

Yeah!! Now that she's started, there's no stopping her!!! She looks so proud of herself!
ReplyDeleteShe's one smart cookie! Oh, yes, she may already know her colors---little ones have much stronger receptive language than expressive language at this age :)
ReplyDeleteYay for standing!! And good for her for saying the colours!!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how babies learn different things at different ages. My nephew was standing by the time he was 8 months old and, at 12 and 1/2 months old, he can almost walk on his own. However, he hasn't said a single word. He doesn't even babble. He just screams as loud as he can.
